The Amber Armor Series is a set of six books in the in The Amber Armor series. It is a Teen & Young Adult Fantasy series for ages 10 and up. These books can also be enjoyed by adults too.
The stories take place on the planet Kepler in the land of Chelt.
Two magic users weave a spell to create a human prince that is destined to unite the warring races on the planet Kepler. But somethings goes wrong and two heroes are created instead of one: a female human, Maidawn, and a male blorc (black orc), Shorn. Both of them have amber magic inside them, but are separated by a continent.
Each find themselves on a quest: Maidawn seeks the mage who knows more about amber magic than anyone else on the planet while Shorn, after having a vision of Maidawn and her two swords is determined that nothing will stop him from finding her, even though she far, far away.
They are joined by people of different races as they search for the six pieces of the Amber Armor that will be needed to bring the prophecy to life. But there are forces out there that are determined to stop them, forces that only want chaos and death. The fate of all the intelligent races of Kepler are in the hands of the two born of amber magic, even if they don’t believe it.
The Amber Swords
The Amber Armor: Book 1
Maidawn was born of magic almost sixteen years ago. Her mother died the night she was born and she is raised by a family of welcorgs, a breed of warrior dogs. After receiving a pair of amber swords for her sixteenth birthday, when she practices them for the first time, it activates the Amber magic inside of her, letting other mages know about her. Maidawn doesn;t know it, but her world is about to change.
Alizabet, an enchantress, appears and convinces Maidawn that her life is in danger and that she cannot remain in her village. Along with her brother Zift, a welcorg battle corgi, they begin their journey to make their way toward Theleisium, a white mage, so he can teach her how to master her Amber magic. But the journey is long, and there are many dangers in the land of Chelt.
While on their journey, she’ll gather a few allies: a dwarf, an elf, and a centaur. They vow to aid her at least as far as Theleisium’s cottage. After all, she is the supposedly the prophesized one. None of them want their races wiped out by the massing blorcs (black orc) in the west.
Because of Maidawn’s unique magic and the amber swords that she carries, she is being hunted. One particular blorc, Prince Shorn of Strudhyne, is out to find her, any way he can. With the help of his little friend, a green goblin named Stench, nothing is going to stop him from obtaining what he wants, be they griffin, troll, goblin, or even other blorcs.

The Amber Chainmail
The Amber Armor: Book 2
The same night that Maidawn was born of Amber magic (see The Amber Swords), another being was also born of that same magic. Across the land of Chelt, far from Maidawn, Prince Shorn Zogstomp took his first breath as Amber magic infused into his very essence.
Sixteen years later, after receiving a magical chainmail hauberk for his birthday, Shorn has a vision of Maidawn using her swords for the first time, lightning raining down all around her. Enraptured by this human girl who has the same colored eyes as he does, he grabs his best friend Stench, a rather smelly green goblin, and they head out across the land in search of this girl he somehow feels drawn to.
In the blorc castle of Strudhyne, Reilyk the Red, the king’s mage and advisor, senses the strange magic of Maidawn. Always craving more power, as he is already the strongest black magic mage on the planet, he is convinced that he needs to steal Maidawn’s magic from her. He sends out a rather nasty harpy to track the human girl down.
After learning of the human girl with the swords from his son’s vision, King Gridarg Zogstomp sends out his personal guard, a ruthless band of cutthroat blorc warriors called the Black Plague, to retrieve the magical swords. They are led by Grizill Toefungus, a rather nasty blorc that has a personal vendetta against Shorn.
Maidawn is clueless as to the number of beings that are headed her way. Only one of them intends her no harm. The only question is, who will get there first?

The Amber Ring
The Amber Armor: Book 3
After a week of Amber magic training with Theleisium and Alizabet, the entire party decides to head out begin their search of the third item of the Amber Armor, having already secured two of them. Their goal is to reach Kexy Island as soon as possible to look for the Amber Ring among the ruins of St. Randall’s Sanctuary. But things never go exactly as planned.
Theleisium is called back to Devinshyre by the human king, Prestius Fremmon. The king has just learned something about his father that has him confused and worried about the blorcs over in Strudhyne.
Grizill Toefungus, after his defeat at the hands Prince Shorn Zogstomp and Maidawn of Whails, returns home only to be sent out on a new errand by the King Gridarg Zogstomp. Exhausted, he sets out with four of the remaining Black Plague warriors to help his king prepare for war.
Reilyk the Red is up to his same old tricks. All he thinks about is magical power, and how to gain more of it. Even though he is a master of black magic, he desires Maidawn so he can harness her Amber magic. And, if he can’t do that, he plans to turn Maidawn into a black mage to serve only him.
King Gridarg of Strudhyne hates all other races, especially humans. When he learns that his own son, the only heir to the blorc throne, has been seen fighting side-by-side with a human, the king goes crazy. He vows to wipe all humans off of the face of Kepler. No stone shall be left unturned when the blorcs finally attack. War is coming.
Maidawn, Alizabet, Cyereth, Thorfrn, Braunk, Shorn, Stench, and Spck continue on without Theleisium. Their travels will take them to the edge of the unexpected, meeting an elusive race that rarely interacts with other intelligent beings. Will this new race be friend or foe? Could this be the end of Maidawn’s quest to unite the races? Or will this new race aid her in her goal to bring peace to the lad of Chelt?
